The Kids is a play starring Scottie Ertmer as Elisha J. Whitney and Billy Thomson as the steward. The story is based on the Kids a gang that grew up on the streets of a small town in a period of time with extreme violence and overall a tough life. The experiences of these young men shapes their lives into the adults they not yet need to be. These gangs force the kids to grow up fast and to have ties that seem unbreakable. However, when a gang war breaks out and the Kids are in the middle of it, they see everyone they know and love seems to be dying, and they begin to question if this is really where they want to be or if they should try to get out of here and to clean up. This is a tale of the high school drop outs and what happens to them after high school. What happens when they get involved with a crowd of some tough guys. But most importantly what happens when we make decisions that can shape the rest of our lives. This play will follow the Kids through thick and thin through the toughest of times and the hardest of times. Most importantly, it will answer the question, is it all worth it in the end?
